Mandatory Fire Sprinkler Inspections

Tonight at 6:00 PM

May 10th, 2025

  • Smooth, rich, creamy, velvety, gourmet, dense, these are just some of the words used to describe frozen custard. However, do you know the actual difference between frozen custard and traditional ice cream? It comes down to a few ingredients, the production process and finally, the way it is enjoyed. You’ll get to enjoy it for FREE in the gazebo on May 17th!

  • Oscar and Iliana will both be off today.

  • Fire Sprinkler inspections are set to start Monday, May 12. Iliana sent out the details via e-mail blast. Info is also posted at the mail kiosk, posted to the Bella Trae Promenade One Facebook page and are posted above. If you will not be home, the inspector and Iliana will enter your unit via the key on file. If you changed your lock in the last year or are not sure if your key is current, take your key to Iliana today.

  • Our “Resident of the Week” moved here from Miami. Before that she lived very far away from Bella Trae. You can find out where in her bio below.

  • We approved the final proposal from the paver contractor that we have hired to handle the extensive driveway repairs. Work is scheduled to begin on. Wednesday, May 14th.

  • We have bids in from the mulch companies we contacted and walked the property with. One bid (blow in mulch) was ridiculously high; three times more than our budgeted amount. The other bids (bulk mulch) were more in line with our expectations and we were able to leverage the two bids to negotiate the cost from one company even lower. We will be reviewing the proposals in more detail and then make our decision. We’ll keep you posted.

  • Flatten or break down ALL boxes before throwing them in the compactor! This message is posted here and on the compactor door every single day, yet we still see large boxes thrown into the compactor without being flattened or broken down. It only takes a few seconds, but saves us thousands of dollars. Just do it! “CompactorCam” is watching!

  • Missed the latest board meeting? The YouTube video is posted below for your viewing pleasure.

  • Many of our seasonal residents are leaving the Promenade to return to their “summer” homes both in this country and beyond. We wish them safe travels, a beautiful summer season and look forward to seeing them upon their return to our community.

  • NOTE: NO BULKY ITEMS CAN BE THROWN IN THE COMPACTOR OR LEFT AT THE COMPACTOR FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DISPOSE OF. The includes furniture, wood, metal items, carpets, ironing boards, plastic tubs or bins, etc. These are just some of the items we’ve had to fish out of the compactor in the past couple of weeks. If we want to keep our compactor working and our costs down, please follow the guidelines and be respectful of your fellow neighbors.

Our Resident of the Week

Hanne Matthews

When did you purchase your Promenades home? I purchased my home in December 2018.

Where did you move here from? Prior to moving to ChampionsGate, I lived in Miami for 3 years after returning from Singapore, where I had worked for 16 years.

What do you enjoy about Central Florida? I really love the beautiful nature parks and lakes. So many still to discover. I also enjoy driving past the pastures with black cows and horses; I guess it’s because I have lived in big cities for so long.

What do you dislike about Central Florida? It might sound weird, but I basically don’t dislike anything; so far. Perhaps it’s because I don’t have to drive I-4 as I’m retired.

Do you have any favorite spots to visit in the area? My favorite places are Celebration, Winter Park and Winter Garden for dining and shopping. One other spot I really enjoy is Wekiva Springs.

Our Pet of the Month

Dolly

Dolly is a 13/14 year old mixed breed sweetheart. I got her 8 years ago from my brother who found her at a shelter. She loves long walks and saying hello to all her friends in the community; both two legged and four legged varieties. She gets along well with most other doggies. Dolly shows no real interest in playing with toys. Her favorite snack? She loves peppers and radishes! But, one thing Dolly does not like is the noise from the hot air balloons!!

If you see Dolly out on a walk, be sure to say “Hello.”

*Dolly and her human, Angel live on Romani Ave.
